UKCCSC Early Career Researchers’ Programme

This programme supports researchers training for an academic career as well as those whose future lies outside academia. With assistance from proactive early career researchers (i.e. you!) we will organise both annual meetings of this group and targeted training courses.

What do we mean by 'Early Career'? We mean postgraduate research students, post-doctoral staff and new lecturers.

Our first meeting took place Tuesday 6 July 2010, at the University of Edinburgh. The meeting provided:

• An introduction to CCS for newcomers
• Basic introduction to whole CCTS chain (delivered mostly by experienced early career researchers)
• Gather ideas for future activities to support the CCS community and other newcomers in the future.
